Yes. Sophomore year can be a good time to identify skill gaps and begin building the math, reading, grammar, pacing, and test-taking skills used on college entrance exams. A tutor can help students prepare for the PSAT while strengthening foundational skills that will carry into later SAT or ACT preparation. Starting gradually gives students time to improve before junior-year testing becomes a higher priority.
