Can students use Beacon to practice calculus independently?

Yes. Students can use Beacon to practice at their own pace and receive guidance whenever they need help moving forward.

Students can spend additional time working with limits, derivatives, integrals, rates of change, and accumulation. They can practice both completing calculations and explaining what those calculations represent.

Beacon helps students determine which calculus concept or method applies and guides them through the reasoning behind each stage. When they make an error, it encourages them to review their approach and correct their own work.

Regular practice can help students move beyond memorizing formulas and develop a deeper conceptual understanding. With time, they can become more confident choosing and applying calculus methods independently.
